Be grateful
Ps. 107:1 When an Israelite would meditate on God’s faithful love, he would have to go way back in history. He would consider how God chose the patriarchs and how He protected them in a foreign land where they lived as foreigners. Then he would remember the Egyptian slavery and how God saved the twelve tribes with a mighty hand from it to give them a land abundant in blessings. Then he would look at David’s life and how God kept him alive to secure the nation of Israel in the middle of pagan nations. Then he would remind himself of the Temple and how God came to live among His people. Then he would probably confess his nation’s idolatry and wonder why God would still preserve a remnant for Himself through to fulfill His purposes through them. An Israelite would have many reasons to be grateful to God for. But how about you?
